The core duty of the firefighter here at Great Lakes Naval Training Center is to protect people and property from fire damage and other hazardous situations. However we feel that our duty is much more. Since we are protecting the world's finest military forces, it goes without saying that we are protecting those that defend us. We serve as protection for these sailors so they may prepare themselves for any calling to battle to ensure your and my way of life. To that I would like to say thank you to all the men and women defending my freedom and God Speed! |
